Bose Hearphones Earbuds Can Double As Hearing Aids In Noisy Environments
DECEMBER 12, 2016
Most earbuds block ambient noise, whether passively or actively, so you can enjoy your favorite tunes without outside distraction. Bose’s new Hearphones, however, don’t do that. Instead, these earbuds actually function as hearing aids, allowing you to amplify and reduce any real-world sounds, so you can tune in to what’s worth listening to.
Designed for use in noisy environments, these earbuds let you tune down the noise, so you can focus in on any conversation you’re having. Whether you’re in a bustling airport, a loud club, or in the vicinity of workers drilling on the road, this thing lets you mute the noise, so you can actually chat with your companion or eavesdrop on a juicy conversation nearby.
The Bose Hearphones take on a form factor similar to the outfit’s QuietControl 30 product, so it looks like just like any normal earbuds you’ll use to listen to music. And, yes, you can actually use it to listen to music, as well as take calls hands-free, complete with active noise cancelling. Except, of course, the directional microphones are sophisticated enough to allow it to filter the different sounds in the environment, allowing you to isolate the ones you want to hear and remove the ones you want to tune out via the accompanying app.
No details on pricing or availability have been announced for the Bose Hearphones.
